Mother is Earth
This piece is the story of the travelling kangaroo moving throughout the country. The clap sticks are used to call the kangaroo to the corroboree that performed by my people, the circles represent these corroboree meeting circles.
Leah Cummins, I am a proud Mayi-Kulan bunya (women) from North-western Queensland, who loves creating beautiful stories in art. I find inspiration in my identity, cultural and bring my stories of my country and people to life in my art.
